I can't wait, either! The irony is, he wrote many of the songs I think you're talking about before he was hired to do the movies. Ex., "Here We Go" from Punch Drunk Love; "Strings that Tie to You" from Eternal Sunshine, and many of the songs for I Heart Huckabees.

Maybe like, a song within a song within a song. Kinda like the John Williams score for Long Goodbye where all the music for the movie is covers in different musical styles of the title tune. It plays on the radio, in a piano bar, by a mariachi band. I wrote a paper in college on the sound editing in that movie. I went to Clown University.
